Worth It Cards is an independent Australian review site with one job: answering the question every card marketing page avoids – is it actually worth it?
Most card comparison sites in Australia list every product in the market and sort them by who pays the highest commission. We do the opposite: a small number of cards, reviewed deeply, with the verdict in the first paragraph and the maths shown in full. If the honest answer is “don’t get any card”, we say that – it’s the most common advice on this site.
What we cover
Rewards and frequent flyer credit cards, cashback platforms (ShopBack, TopCashback, Aura), supermarket loyalty programs (Everyday Rewards, Flybuys), balance transfers, and the free calculators that let you run your own numbers instead of trusting ours.
How we make money
Some links on this site are affiliate links – if you apply for a card or sign up to a platform through them, we may earn a commission. It never changes a verdict: several of our most-read pages recommend free options that earn us nothing, and our reviews routinely tell you to skip the product entirely. Full detail on the affiliate disclosure page.
How we review
Every fee, earn rate and points cap is verified against the issuer’s current product page, and re-checked quarterly – card pricing changes more often than most comparison sites update. The method is documented at how we review cards.
