What an affiliate link is
Some links on this site – typically “Apply” and “Check the current offer” buttons – are affiliate links. If you click one and are approved for a card, or sign up to a platform, the provider pays us a commission. You pay nothing extra; the price and product are identical either way.
Which links are affiliate links
Outbound links to card issuers and cashback platforms via our /go/ short links are, or may become, affiliate links. Internal links between our own articles never are. Every article carrying affiliate links says so in the byline area at the top of the page and in the footer disclaimer.
What it doesn’t change
Verdicts and rankings are set before monetisation is considered, and it shows: we routinely recommend free options that earn us nothing (scanning a free loyalty card, the no-annual-fee card, “don’t get a rewards card at all”), and several reviews on this site conclude the product isn’t worth it. If a commission ever conflicted with the honest answer, the honest answer wins – the site is worthless otherwise, to you and to us.
